North Raleigh Christian Academy Girls Win Basketball 4A Championship

The NORTH RALEIGH CHRISTIAN ACADEMY GIRLS’ BASKETBALL TEAM won its first North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association 4A championship in February, defeating Ravenscroft with a final score of 40-35.

The NORTH RALEIGH CHRISTIAN ACADEMY GIRLS’ BASKETBALL TEAM won its first North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association 4A championship.

Not only was this the team’s first state championship, this was also its first conference championship after sweeping the Triangle Independent School Athletic Conference. Standout player Imani Lester was awarded Conference Player of the Year, as well as named to the NCISAA All State team along with fellow teammate Emma Finster.

NRCA had a final record of 26-4, including a win over No. 1 ranked and formerly undefeated 3A team E.E. Smith of Fayetteville.
